About me
I am originally from the New York metro area, attending Columbia College of Columbia University as an undergraduate. I did my graduate work at the University of Colorado at Denver. I started my teaching in the Denver Public Schools where I first earned National Board Certification. My wife and I decided to relocate to Minnesota to start our family and I have been in the Mounds View Schools ever since.
I have been very fortunate in my career to be a part of professional development work in education that led to partnerships with teachers in the China, the Czech Republic, Bangladesh and Mexico. I have also been a member of the Minnesota Social Studies Standards Committee and Co-Chaired the Minnesota Department of Education Career Pathways and Technical Education Taskforce. I have been incredibly proud of the work of the teachers in Mounds View as we worked to build the Early College Program at Irondale High School. (You can watch the video below to see why I love this school!)
In addition to the professional work I do, I have been a rugby, soccer and mock trial coach, I also am a Swimming offical.
